Help Bring Hope and Healing Through Media

Every day, around the world, people are tuning in—not just for news or entertainment, but for hope. FEBC uses radio and media to share the Gospel in places where it’s difficult or dangerous to speak about Jesus. Your support helps people hear the truth of God’s love, often for the first time.

In a South Asian country where open discussion about Jesus is unsafe, a young woman named Sweety* was battling a long illness that forced her to give up her passion for football. Feeling low and emotionally crushed, she believed the voices around her that said she would never play again. But during a particularly low moment, she tuned in to a radio program called HB, produced by one of our Partners.

The host shared a helpline number. Sweety called. A Christian counsellor answered with warmth and compassion, offering words of comfort and prayers in the name of Jesus—words that stirred something new in Sweety’s heart. Though she didn’t know Jesus, she began to ask questions. The counsellor shared the Gospel and invited her to a prayer fellowship. Sweety went—and experienced peace and healing like never before.

She says, “I knew Jesus was real. I surrendered my life to Him, and from that day on, I’ve never looked back.”

Today, Sweety is healed and full of purpose. She coaches young girls in football and continues growing in faith—all because a message of hope reached her through radio at just the right time.

From Kipini, a coastal town in Kenya, comes another powerful story. Amina*, a mother and fish trader, was caught in a desperate situation. As fish stocks declined and demand rose, women like her were forced into exploitative relationships just to get access to fish for their families.

Amina shared, “It’s humiliating… but I have children to feed. When a boat arrives, twenty women crowd around, all desperate to buy fish. To secure my share, I have to make arrangements with the captain—offering myself in exchange.”

Vox Radio, supported by FEBC, brought this hidden crisis to light. Their coverage mobilised churches, mosques, NGOs, and government authorities to take action. Community conversations led to new advocacy, awareness, and the development of economic alternatives for women and local fishermen.

These stories show the power of Gospel media to reach and restore. Whether it’s personal transformation or driving community change, your gift makes this possible.
