Cambodia diligently continues FEBC’s mission to ‘Let Them Hear’

In early 2020, before the pandemic took hold, FEBC Cambodia upgraded a 500-watt relay station to a 2,000-watt signal and is now reaching thousands of new listeners in the Kampong Thom Province. The timing was exceptional because this very large region was previously out of range.

Despite the pandemic-related limitations, we praise God that 900 radios were also distributed. With encouraging feedback from listeners in unreached areas, the team also began a distribution of Gospel Speaker Boxes with SD cards.

It’s very encouraging to share that many listeners are also tuning in via internet radio streaming, mobile apps, Facebook, and YouTube.

In December 2020, the team from the 'Voice of Love' program, in partnership with local church pastors, visited slum areas in the Kan Doungkao district of Phnom Penh City to distribute radios and urgent Christmas care packages.

Many families in this region collect scraps from the garbage for their daily survival. Seventy families were given a radio, 25kg of rice, noodles, soy and fish sauce, and a package of school supplies for the children. These practical acts of love parcels brought families hope at Christmas—a time when they desperately needed it.

An overwhelmed mother shares, “I am so thankful to you for distributing gifts to me and the community. My family now has a radio, and food and my children have learning materials. Thank you Family FM, I wish you all good health.”

In January this year, the team from Krusa FM visited Mondulkiri, an eastern province of Cambodia to distribute radios and minister to the ethnic people groups.

Mondulkiri is the largest and most sparsely populated province in the entire country. During the mission, the visiting group met villagers living in Putil village, Busra commune, Pichreada district, and Modulkiri province.

More than 30 families joined the meetings to hear the Word of God and learn of the many encouraging programs available to them through the 'Voice of Love' shortwave broadcasts.

We’re excited to share that through their growing faith, many listeners from these ethnic groups are becoming disciples and evangelising to their own people within their villages. As they come to know God, they begin to share His truth with others, and lives are transformed.

Please pray for the work of our team in Cambodia as they join us to 'Go Global' this month across Australia. Pray that the stories we share are heard and provide encouragement for more people to support the incredible ministries of FEBC.
