Every day, someone in our world hears more than just sound as they tune into the radio—they hear hope. Through your support, FEBC helps bring the message of Jesus through media to people in places where many are silenced for their faith by political or cultural pressure.
In a South Asian country where it is dangerous to speak openly about Jesus, Sweety* was battling a long illness. Once an energetic young footballer, her declining health left her emotionally drained. Her neighbours whispered, “She will never play again.” Eventually, Sweety began to believe them. She stopped engaging with people and retreated into silence.
During one of her lowest days, Sweety tuned in to a Christian radio program called HB, produced by one of FEBC’s partners. It wasn’t the first time she’d listened—but that day, something caught her attention. The host mentioned a helpline number. In desperation—or perhaps in hope—she called.
On the other end was a warm, patient Christian counsellor. She didn’t offer easy answers. She listened. Then she gently shared about Jesus—how He came to save us, how He suffered for us, died, and rose again. The counsellor prayed for Sweety and told her that Jesus still heals today.
That conversation sparked something in Sweety’s heart. She was invited to a local prayer fellowship—and that’s where something extraordinary happened.
Sweety experienced healing. Her body felt stronger and her mind clearer. But more than that, she felt a peace she had never known. Her spirit came alive with new hope.
“I knew Jesus was real,” she says. “I surrendered my life to Him, and from that day on, I’ve never looked back.”
Today, Sweety is mentoring young girls as a football coach. Her passion has returned—and she’s growing in faith, sharing the love she herself encountered with those around her.
This is the power of the Gospel. This is the impact your support makes as we share God’s love through media.
