Each year in March or April, homes around Central Asia are abuzz with activity. It’s Ramadan, the holy month in the Islamic calendar, where Muslims fast in the day and break fast together. For Christians, who are the minority and persecuted, it can be a very lonely time.
“In the beginning God …” so the Word of God begins. God was in the beginning when His Word landed in Cambodia in 1923. 100 years later, FEBC Cambodia is beginning the year with the biggest Christian celebration the country has ever seen.
Afia* reaches out to her scalp. The itch is unbearable, but so is the sting from the open wound on her head. The Afghan widow, mother of two and refugee in Indonesia, whose husband was killed by the refugees is at the end of the line. There are many Farsi-speaking refugees like Afia whom FEBC Indonesia is reaching out to.
2022 was a bumper year for FEBC’s Ethnic Ministries. Its New Media platforms gained 260,000 followers and 2,268 people received Jesus and were baptised! But it’s not all about numbers. Lives, like Mr. Toua Tang’s have been transformed.
