25 December is a public holiday in Pakistan to celebrate the birthday of the country’s founder. While 99% of the country’s population, or more than 237 million* people, may know about Christmas or ‘Barra Din’ (‘Big Day’), they may not know about Jesus as God incarnate. FEBC’s partners in Pakistan are changing that.
Reaching Kazakh Families in Mongolia
125,000 Kazakhs live in Mongolia. Sadly, the Kazakh people group are a part of 98%* of Mongolia’s population who are unreached. They may be a smaller people group in Mongolia, but they are significant to God, and so to FEBC Mongolia. Dedicated programs in the Kazakh language have been reaching the community.
“Because You Are Christian”
Pakistan has the second largest Muslim population in the world. FEBC’s partners have been quietly changing mindsets about Christians through their faithful, humble service to the poorest of communities. Like Jesus, they have been reaching out to the lost, the forgotten, the marginalised.
We May Lose Everything But Jesus
For the average Indonesian, life is tough. It is a daily struggle to survive. Most cannot to afford to spend more than RP 11,000 (AUD 1) a day in rural areas, or RP 19,000 (AUD 1.78) in the city. Women are doubly burdened. But through FEBC, the love of Jesus is freeing many from their heavy yokes.
