Choosing Jesus at All Costs

Ko* first heard the name of Jesus at a time when his life was falling apart. He had tried everything to quit his drug addiction but failed every time.

Through an FEBC broadcast in his heart language, Ko heard the gospel clearly for the first time. Ko is a part of a people group that we cannot name publicly. Security concerns for Ko, his family, and all the FEBC team that work with this people group, are extremely high. They all risk persecution, imprisonment, and even death if the government of the country* finds them.

As Ko listened, something stirred within him. He listened again. And again. For days, Ko prayed as he continued tuning in. For once in his life, he was able to stop using drugs. “This is the true God,” he thought.

Ko didn’t keep that hope to himself. He shared what he was learning with others, and soon families around him began to believe too.

But faith came at a cost.

Local authorities discovered what was happening and confronted Ko. He was told to renounce Jesus or face death. Ko refused.

With danger closing in, Ko and other Christian families fled their homes. They left behind their land, livelihoods, and everything familiar. After days of travel, they reached a refugee camp — exhausted, uncertain, and afraid of what the future might hold.

Supporting those who still Choose Jesus

There, FEBC came alongside them.

Through radios, Scripture, prayer, and practical care, the gospel remained present even in displacement. God’s Word continued to speak — offering strength, hope, and reassurance to believers who had lost almost everything.

Today, these believers are still choosing Jesus.

For many like Ko, FEBC’s broadcasts are the only way they can hear the gospel in their heart language. Through radio and online programs, God’s Word continues to reach people living in places where Christianity is restricted or banned.

Easter declares a truth the world cannot silence — a truth death could not stop, and the grave could not contain:

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32).

We see that truth lived out in believers who continue to follow Jesus, even when it costs them everything. And we see it in those hearing His name for the very first time.

Your support helps ensure they do not stand alone — and that faith continues to endure, even in the hardest places.
