Hope as an anchor for the soul

Happy New Year!

What a joy to begin another year walking together in this mission, sharing Jesus through media with those who have never heard His name. Every story, every broadcast, every life transformed reminds me that God is still at work, moving through FEBC and through you, bringing a hope that holds fast when everything else shifts.

Over these summer weeks, as many of us paused and reflected, I have sensed God stirring our hearts again - calling us to draw closer to Him and to press further into His mission: to pray with faith, proclaim with courage, and persevere with hope. Nothing that happens through FEBC is possible by human strength alone. It is Christ who breaks barriers, softens hearts, and restores hope. Through your prayer, partnership, and generosity, His voice reaches places the world has forgotten, where people are meeting Jesus for the very first time.

In this edition of Skywaves, you’ll meet three women whose stories rise from the hardest places on earth. Each was written off and left with nothing but pain until Christ met them there. Through humble, faithful media, His voice reached into their silence and brought life again.

It is the same Jesus who stopped at a well in Samaria and saw a weary woman the world had overlooked. That same living water now flows through FEBC’s microphones and transmitters into homes, remote communities, and the lives of those the world rarely notices. It reaches people carrying the wounds of persecution, those scarred by war, and those living with the quiet ache of disability, restoring dignity and the hope of salvation.

These stories from Yemen, Pakistan, and South Asia are only a glimpse of what God is doing across the world through this mission we share. Every prayer and every gift becomes part of God’s redeeming work, restoring lives and drawing people to Himself.

Thank you so much for walking this road with us. This work is not easy, but it is vital. And as we keep choosing hope together, Christ’s light keeps breaking into places that would otherwise remain silent and forgotten.

Until all have heard,

Janet Cousens
