Seizing the unique opportunity that the lockdown presented, FEBC Mongolia, together with local church partners, live-streamed a 'Christmas Outreach Pageant' on Facebook. Titled “Let It Be CHRISTmas”, the livestream reached nearly 164,000 viewers and was shared over 2,000 times.
Throughout the Christmas season, Mongolia’s FEBC Family Radio Station continued to broadcast daily, bringing truth, forgiveness, and purpose into many lives. FEBC Christmas radio broadcasts were not just aired through their own stations but also in three of Ulaanbaatar’s secular FM radio stations. The results were phenomenal. The impact is eternal and we continue to praise God for opening doors and healing hearts.
Special programs continue to be produced and aired for women to bring acceptance and a sense of value and provide additional support and education to those who suffer domestic violence and sexual harassment. Lockdown restrictions which were put in place to stem the spread of COVID-19 sadly escalated domestic violence within the homes of thousands of Mongolian families.
Before the lockdown, over 4,500 radios were distributed in an attempt to provide a window of hope to women suffering within their homes.
Over the past 12 months, the team in Mongolia has seen an extensive increase in listener responses and outreach, which they attribute to the many families listening at home during COVID lockdown restrictions.
The provision of radios becomes a lifeline for women desperately seeking hope. We pray for the work of the team in Mongolia and ask God for His protection over the hearts hearing the broadcasts.
