As Easter approaches, I am reminded of the redemption we have received through Jesus Christ. His resurrection gives our lives meaning, direction and the opportunity to start over no matter what the circumstances. It asserts a truth which resonates loudly His promises; the gift of Christ to us and the joy of Christ in us – forevermore.
“Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, He cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over Him. The death He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life He lives, He lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.” – Romans 6:8-11
I am so very thankful that we do not need to wait on Easter to be reminded of the redemption given to us through Jesus. At FEBC we see God’s transforming and redeeming work each day. We remain confident in His ongoing work and mercy right throughout the year. Our heart is for the people and our mission is to Let Them Hear.
We are conscious however, that in order to meet our mission in the world; to communicate the Good News among the nations by media, to inspire people to follow Jesus Christ – we are dependent on God’s providence and provision. We are also dependent on our supporters, our partners in this mission – existing and new. I am so thankful for our many long-term supporters who consistently give sacrificially and pray; and so are the thousands of lives you impact. However, without new supporters, without growth, it becomes difficult to meet our mission goals and expanding God-given opportunities.
God is using FEBC powerfully as it works with local on-the-ground churches and other missions to get into places that no-one else can, and we want to make that known. Our prayer is that many Australians would know, especially those who are younger and understand media well, the powerful way God is using FEBC to redeem lives, and communities.
Therefore this April, we will have a presence as an exhibitor at Planet Shakers Conference in Melbourne where we will be sharing and promoting our work with up to 10,000 young delegates brought together to worship Jesus. We will focus on our work with women in India in the hope to encourage and recruit a younger generation of advocates, followers and supporters. Your prayers for the success of this event are needed and appreciated.
I am so thankful to each of you, who choose to give, to pray, to invite us to your churches to speak, and act as our ambassadors. Please know that the team are greatly encouraged by your supportive and uplifting feedback. Here in Australia we need to continue to engage more mission partners and continue to make the work we do known, so as to continue to be a vital support to our partners overseas and fulfil God’s mission to all the world.
Please be encouraged by the stories and information in this edition of Skywaves – these testimonies are only made possible by your prayers and giving. Please stand with us, and ambassador for us, as we seek to communicate in new ways to engage others in this great mission of FEBC.
