Have you tasted Farex? You know when I was a baby my parents fed me Farex, and I thought it was yummy!!! I didn’t know anything better.
But as I grew, I discovered vegemite, then burgers, with the lot.
Today I have tasted lots of great foods. Farex? It’s no longer yummy! In fact, quite the opposite. It tastes like, like nothing! Like chalk dust mixed with glue. Yuck! I would never go back to Farex. No way! I have tasted something better.
We often settle for less because we don’t know that there’s anything more. Before we tasted the Lord’s goodness, we didn’t know anything better too!
Easter Sunday, Resurrection Day — Jesus is Alive! Matthew 28:6, “He has risen!”
Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, we can truly come alive — to a new life, a better life, a life in all its fullness.
This life in Christ is filled with meaning and significance. It is a life of freedom, grace, acceptance, and love; a life of hope, strength, and assurance.
Because He lives, He gives all people access to this life, life in all its fullness, a better life than they’ve ever known.
This is the passion behind all we do in FEBC, to share this new life, this better life, with all peoples — to inspire people to follow Jesus Christ, so that they may know and find the life we have found in Him.
In 2 Cor.5:15 (Msg) the Apostle Paul talking about Jesus, says, “He included everyone in His death so everyone could be included in His life, a resurrection life, a far better life than people lived on their own.”
In that paraphrase is the Easter message – that Jesus died for all, and those who follow Him will be included in His life – forever.
That’s what Jesus offers to everyone across the world — the refugee, the deserted, the hurting, the hopeful, those who think they have it all — a ‘far better life’.
Through our broadcasts, FEBC is making known the Good News. We are sharing with people a better life, a resurrection life, found only in Jesus.
Across the world this Resurrection Sunday, FEBC will be proclaiming the Good News of a risen Saviour, a risen Lord, the one who has overcome sin, and death — and the one who offers to everyone across the world, and right here – a better life, a life in all its fullness.
Join us in proclaiming this Good News of a better life. Let us all taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed Easter to you and yours!
